These terms cover using SnagFrog, the issue-reporting service at snagfrog.com, run by Gjorge Karakabakov. By creating an account or sending a report you agree to them. They're written to be read.
The service
SnagFrog is a paid service with a free trial. Features can change, and limits or prices of your plan won't change without notice. Whatever your plan, your data is never held hostage: you can always read, export or delete it.
Plans and payment
- New workspaces get a 14-day free trial with the Indie plan's limits and no card. After that you need a paid plan. Current limits and prices are on the pricing page.
- Without a paid plan, or over your plan's monthly limit, reports are still accepted so your users are never turned away. They're kept locked until you subscribe (or, for the monthly limit, until the next month starts). Unpaid workspaces show "Powered by SnagFrog" on report pages and emails.
- Payments are handled by Polar, the merchant of record, who charges you, handles sales tax and VAT, and sends receipts. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel in Polar's customer portal. Cancelling keeps your plan until the end of the period you paid for.
- Founding-member prices stay the same for as long as the subscription stays active. Refund requests go to gorgekara@gmail.com and are handled fairly.
Your account
- You need to be old enough to agree to these terms where you live.
- Keep access to your email and your API tokens to yourself. You're responsible for what's done with them, including by an AI assistant you connect.
- Tell me if you think your account has been accessed by someone else.
Your content and your users
- You own what's in your workspace. You let SnagFrog store, process and send it only to run the service for you.
- When you collect reports from your users, you're responsible for having a reason to and for telling them, for example in your app's privacy policy. SnagFrog's privacy page describes what SnagFrog does with their reports.
- Don't use SnagFrog to collect passwords, payment card details, health data or other sensitive information.
- Messages you send through SnagFrog should be about the report they belong to. No marketing or bulk email.
Things that aren't allowed
- Anything illegal, and content that infringes someone else's rights.
- Uploading malware, or using SnagFrog to host files for other purposes.
- Spam, phishing, or sending email to people who didn't contact you.
- Getting around rate limits, probing for vulnerabilities in other people's workspaces, or putting excessive load on the service.
Found a security issue? Email me and I'll fix it quickly.
Ending things
You can stop using SnagFrog at any time and ask for your account to be deleted. I may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, and I'll tell you why unless that would be unsafe or unlawful.
No warranty
SnagFrog is provided as is, without promises of availability or fitness for a purpose. Backups exist, but keep your own copy of anything you can't afford to lose.
Liability
As far as the law allows, I'm not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost data or lost profits, and total liability is limited to what you've paid for SnagFrog in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have that the law doesn't let a contract take away.
Changes
If these terms change in a way that matters, the date at the top changes and developers get an email before it takes effect. Using SnagFrog afterwards means you accept the new terms.
